Google+ is Google’s version of social media. In the wake of the huge success of other social media such as Facebook, Google+ didn’t do so well. However, lots of businesses used it to profile their business and post about their products, services and news.

Does this affect me?
The easiest way to tell if the change is going to affect you, is to jump onto your website and check whether your social links include a Google+ link. If they do, you’ll need to remove this before April 2 2019 (otherwise it will no longer work).
You may also want to log into your Google account and download any images and content you have uploaded to your Google+ personal account or Google+ pages you have created.
How do I remove my Google+ link?
This may be a simple matter of logging into your website admin, and removing any link or widget associated with Google+. If you are unsure, get in touch with us and we’ll help you get it sorted. It’s generally a very simple process.
Does this affect Google Business?
No, Google Business is a separate product, and not affected by the shutting down of Google+. Any business listings, photos or posts you have added through Google Business will remain intact.
